Barcelona has had a successful few months to lock some of their most important players in the first team, but in the youth ranks the Blaugrana has more a troubled time. After Unai Hernandez, at the time captain of Barca Atletic, left for Al-Actihad in Saudi Arabia, more could be set to follow him out.
Earlier this week it was emphasized that some of the most talented players on the bottom of Barcelona have no contract at the end of the season, without any clarity about whether they will renew their deals. Since then, Barcelona has announced an extension of a year for Alvaro 'Trilli' Perez, and a two -year unilateral contract extension for winger under the age of 19 Jan Virgili.
However, they do look to lose one of their athletic talents in Pau Prim. The 19-year-old midfielder, at a certain stage as their most natural alternative to Sergio Busquets in their academy, is frozen at Barca Atletic because of his refusal to sign a contract extension. In January, when Hernandez closed his move for somewhere in the region of € 4-5 million, rumor that Prim could follow.
According to Marca, Prim is now about to move to Qatar, and in particular Al-SADD. Out of the contract at the end of the season, Barcelona loses Prim Free in his case, who thinks his way to the first team has been blocked. Playing back with Frenkie de Jong, Marc Casado behind him and Marc Bernal who jumped him into the pecking order, chances are probably little, even though the last two are out for the rest of the season.
Barcelona always tends to lose some of their best academy talents, as evidenced by the expensive return of Gerard Pique, Cesc Fabregas and most recently Dani Olmo. Although some of them are probably not triumphing without the necessary opportunities, there has been some irritation in the Catalan capital that they tend to lose their Masia products without much financial benefit.
