Barcelona plan key Ronald Araujo meeting as fresh asking price set

Barcelona will prioritize meeting Ronald Araujo on their return from Saudi Arabia next week.

As part of a rapidly evolving transfer saga, Barcelona are not actively looking to sell the Uruguayan, but they are aware of strong interest from Juventus.

Barcelona want to assess whether Araujo is willing to leave the club this month, and if he wants to force a departure, they will listen to the offer.

The main stumbling block to any potential deal is Juventus' rumored low initial offer, which was rejected by Barcelona.

According to the latest update from Diario Sport, Barcelona will accept no less than a fixed fee between €50 and 55 million, with performance-related variables added.

There will be no reduction in this figure, but it does bring their initial valuation down from €60m to €70m, part of a growing sense that he can move on.

Previous rumors that Araujo requested a meeting with Hansi Flick before the Supercup final have been dismissed as they focused on team planning for the match.
