Barcelona is still planning to make their long -awaited return to the Spotify Camp Nou next month, although there is growing pessimism about their chances of encountering Valencia in their home stadium.
The Catalan club is working to do the necessary work to be able to return to schedule, although there are back supplements drawn up in case they are not successful. They will be able to return to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company in Montjuic if necessary, although the signed agreement does not cover next month against Valencia.
The American rapper Post Malone is organizing a concert in the Estadi Olimpic on 12 September, which would be fewer than hours for the Barcelona match against Valencia. It cannot be guaranteed that they can play there if the Spotify Camp is not ready, so alternative arrangements are being investigated.
And according to El Desmarque (via Marca), Barcelona is considering asking Valencia and La Liga whether it would be possible that the game will be played in the Mestalla. In this case this would mean that the reverse fixture, which is planned as the last game of the 2025-26 season, would be played in the Spotify Camp Nou.
If it is accepted, Barcelona would make the four LA Liga matches in a row of home, following Mallorca, Levante and Rayo Vallecano. And it would be five consecutive games on the road in all competitions, given that UEFA has accepted their request to play their first competition phase in the Champions League.
The issue of the Spotify Camp Nou remains a big problem for Barcelona, because they still cannot guarantee return home. This has a domino effect for their financial situation, given that the income of the matchday would rise considerably if they would return.
