Barcelona president Joan Laporta was visibly delighted by the decision to issue an order to the club to temporarily retain Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, shouting as he entered the King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah. His reaction didn't stop there.
According to multiple sources, including Cadena Cope and Cadena SER, Laporta was seen shouting and kicking and punching benches and chairs in the director's box at the stadium. In the upper reaches of the stadium, a number of RFEF regional presidents were present, as well as newly elected president Rafael Louzan.
Laporta clearly blamed them in part for the decision not to register Olmo and Victor initially and was heard shouting 'cowards', 'scandals' and 'sons of b******' in their general direction. He is also said to have approached Louzan and given him a dressing down, although the details have not been revealed, and this last detail has been disputed. Laporta was often described as 'crazy' by several sources.
