Barcelona “reach agreement” to sign Spanish right-back

Right-Back is one of the positions that Hansi Flick wants to enter into by Barcelona in the summer, and it seems that it has already been resolved by Sporting Director Deco, who is reportedly moved quickly to reach an agreement with one of the long-term goals of the Catalan club.

Last summer, Barcelona also looked to tackle the right back position, but it was considered impossible because of the well-documented financial misery of the club. And one of the players they tried to sign was Marc Pubill, and this was confirmed by the player himself.

Pubill is considered a very talented young right back and played an important role in Spain's triumph last summer. Barcelona has kept an eye on him and they also followed his progress in Segunda this season, where he played for Almeria.

Barcelona wants someone who can compete better with Jules Kounde than Hector Fort has managed this season, and Pubill can be the player to do that. And according to Sara Esscriu (via ED), they have already reached an agreement on personal conditions with the 21-year-old. Moreover, it is reported that Barcelona and Almeria are very close to completing a deal for pubill, with definitive details the only thing between its completion.

Pubill is a top perspective, and if Barcelona can close a financially viable deal to bring it to the club in the summer, this would be excellent things. He and Fort can undoubtedly be the long -term options for the Catalans, and for now he is very able to compete with Kounde.

It is still to be seen whether Pubill will eventually make the switch to Barcelona in the summer. There are certainly different teams that compete to sign him this summer, so it is smart thinking from Deco to go early.
