Barcelona and Alejandro Balde have received disappointing news about his hamstring injury, which he contracted against Leganes. The 21-year-old is in good shape this season after struggling with injury last year.
Balde was injured after adjusting his hamstring in the first half in Butarque, with Gerard Martin for him at that time. The first diagnosis was that he would be excluded for two to three weeks, but there was some hope that Balke could return to action on time for their collision with Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday 26 April in Sevilla.
However, after further tests had been carried out on Monday, MD said that the prognosis was not as positive as had been hoped. Bald's injury will keep him closer to three weeks instead of two, which would definitely stand out of the Copa final. Balde was already excluded from their Champions League collision with Borussia Dortmund, as well as Liga matches against RCD Mallorca, Celta Vigo, but is now also excluded against Real Valladolid the next week.
It seems increasing that Balke will not make a hypothetical semi -final against Inter or Bayern Munich in the Champions League, which will take place on April 29 or 30. The goal is now to be back for a theoretical second stage on 6 May, and the League Clasico against Real Madrid on 11 May in Montjuic.
