Barcelona reliance on Lamine Yamal in La Liga continues after Las Palmas defeat

Saturday's 2-1 home defeat against Las Palmas means it has now been three scoreless games in a row for Barcelona. At one point, Hansi Flick's side had a nine-point lead over Real Madrid, but if the defending champions were to win their two games in a row, the Catalans would drop to second place in La Liga.

The general trend in these three games is that Lamine Yamal has not been a starter. The 17-year-old sensation missed out completely against Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo due to injury, while he could only start from the bench against Las Palmas.

Furthermore, he did not start in the other La Liga match that Barcelona did not win, which was a 4-2 defeat against Osasuna. According to Sport, Flick's side have won every match the teenager has started, but have not won any in which he has not.

It shows that Barcelona is dependent on Lamine Yamal, and more so than they thought.
