Barcelona Sporting Director Deco has favoured option for right-back position

Barcelona has made the right back position as one of their priorities for the coming summer transfer window and has identified potential options the entire season. However, there is one that stands out as a preferred option for Sporting Director Deco.

Last summer the Blaugrana tried to move to Almeria and Spain Olympic gold medal list Marc Pubill, but did not take off the move because of salary limit concerns. Since then, the Blaugrana have maintained conversations with the agent of the 21-year-old. Another option that has been mentioned is Oscar Mingueza, who, because of the Barcelona sale clause, would only cost them € 10 million if things are, while the Vandersonon of Monaco is another name that has returned to the newspaper columns.

Those options have been recommended for some time, but a more recent addition to the Blaugrana lists is Rayo Vallecano's Andrei Ratiu. According to MD, the 26-year-old Romanian international is connected to Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and in January Aston Villa.

Another team that has an established interest in the future of Ratiu is Villarreal, where the yellow submarine itself retains a sale of 50%. He is expected to continue from Vallecas in the summer and has a release clause of € 25 million. With a deal until 2028, Rayo will be well within their right to demand his release clause or to be close.

The Catalan explains daily that Ratiu is one of the options on the Radar of Barcelona and one of the Deco's preferred choices. In addition to his price tag, which clearly requires that Barcelona is able to spend, Ratiu has shown both strong offensive instincts and a decent defensive fighting spirit. He is theoretically in the flowering of his career and also has a lot of pace to burn on the right flank. So far, Hansi Flick has shown that he still believes that Hector Fort is in a development phase, in which Jules Kounde receives little rest.
