Barcelona Sporting Director to listen to 5 offers after salary limit shift

Barcelona were all set for a quiet January transfer window, but their inability to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Victor has changed that. It could also see a much more active window in terms of in-and-out traffic for sporting director Deco.

Prior to the sale of their VIP seats at Camp Nou for a sum of €100 million, there were plans for possible exits in January. Sport says Deco didn't see the logic in letting players leave if they couldn't then register new players. Now within their salary cap and with no spending restrictions, Deco are open to selling players during this transfer window.

There is already talk of a possible exit for Eric Garcia as a potential move to Girona depending on Olmo and Victor's resolution, but Deco will now also listen to offers for Andreas Christensen, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Frenkie de Jong. If there are sales, Deco will look to strengthen the wing-back and add a physical midfielder who can alternate with Marc Casado as a more defensive midfielder.

It is a logical position for Deco to take, although there will undoubtedly be some frustration not only from the squad, who are reportedly annoyed by the Olmo-Victor situation, but also from Barcelona fans, who are considering more to bring in players. when they cannot keep their current ones.
