Barcelona is strongly connected to Manchester United Vooruit Marcus Rashford, who seems to be the most logical star option for the Catalan giants this summer. However, the League champions still have to take a formal step for Rashford.
Rashford was offered on the Catalan side in January and he held up until the last days of the transfer market for a potential offer from Barcelona. The 27-year-old is reportedly desperate to sign for the club and is willing to keep another movement this summer, after he has communicated that he is also open to a considerable wage reduction.
With the signing of priority Luis Diaz apparently off the table, Rashford seems the most likely option. United is willing to sell Rashford for € 45 million this summer, but MD explains that Barcelona is not going to be big at the English International. In the midst of reports that director of Football Deco is not convinced by a move for Rashford, the Catalan newspaper says that the circumstances of a deal should be 'very favorable' for Barcelona. Manager Hansi Flick has given the green light for a movement.
This includes the aforementioned wage reduction, but possibly a loan with an option to buy Deal, instead of a straight transfer. Manchester United wants to break permanent ties with Rashford, and Barcelona regards the 'Ball in Rashford's Court' to secure the deal, after several contacts with his brother agent and Arturo Canales, his other representation.
They also say that Barcelona has other options on their shortlist that would fit in with the account, but who would hold high price tags because of their age. After the Vorror Roque signing, Barcelona is wary to bring in a younger player before they are ready. Previous names were Bryan Zaragoza, Christopher Nunku, Antonio Nusa and Rafael Leao. The first would be the least expensive, with the others looking unlikely.
