Hansi Flick has brought Barcelona a revolution since his arrival last summer, and as a result, supporters are starting to dream again. Despite missing the Champions League this season, the Catalan side believes that this era can be a great under the steward of the German head coach.
Since the days of Pep Guardiola or Luis Enrique have been so optimistic supporters of Barcelona, and with regard to the first, a player who played among him and Flick is Ferran Torres.
According to Sport (via Semper Barca), Ferran discussed both managers and described the most important difference in their approach to their players.
“They are winners and know how to manage a top team. But Flick is more approachable, he gives how you do it in every aspect. And something very important: he shows a lot of affection to those who play less, so they don't lose motivation and are ready when their moment comes to confirm that I am a number 9.”
Ferran excelled this season, scored with 19 goals in 44 performances, with many of them being replaced. He usually succeeded as the backup of Robert Lewandowski at Striker and he spoke about playing in the position.
“I never thought I could be a number 9 until I started with Pep. And Hansi also helped me a lot. I am not a typical number 9. I was a winger all my life, and now I think it is where I can get the most out of my qualities.”
Ferran has often been associated with a relocation of Barcelona in the last few seasons, but given the fact that film appreciates him so high, it would not be a surprise to see him in Catalonia for a while.
