Barcelona can be forced to make a sale against their wishes before the summer transfer window closes on Monday, since they still register Gerard Martin, Wojciech Szczesny and Roony Bardghji. Marc Casado and Fermin Lopez are mentioned as players who can leave, and at this stage it is the last to go the most likely.
This week it was reported that Chelsea Barcelona made an offer for Fermin, with a value of € 50 million. This would be an important sale for the Catalans, because it would solve their registration problems and open the door for a new signing – probably a central defender, since they cannot replace Inigo Martinez.
Previously, Hansi Flick, head coach of Barcelona, blocked Fermin's sale, but he could now be powerless to do everything. That is because the 22-year-old seems to be considering his future, with RAC1 reporting that he is approaching the range of Chelsea.
Interestingly, the report states that Chelsea Fermin promised that he would be a starter if he made the move of Stamford Bridge. This would be an attractive offer for the Spain International, which competes with Dani Olmo for the attacking midfield position in the Flick system.
It is unclear whether Barcelona would accept € 50 million for Fermin, but they are willing to allow him to leave if he intends to continue. If that happens, it would be a big shock, given the impact he made since he broke into the first team a little more than two years ago.
For now it is still to be seen how the situation with Fermin takes place. He is currently happy to stay in Barcelona, but that attitude can change.
