Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez agreed a one-year contract to extend his link with the club for the 2025/26 season.
The 33-year-old has become the voice of experience this season in the back line of Hansi Flick, where the former boss of Bayern Munich would like to keep him.
Despite the activation of a clause to expand at the beginning of 2025, after playing a designated number of games, the paperwork is delayed.
The agreement has now been completed and Martinez will remain in Catalonia for at least 12 months.
