Barcelona star set for return after five-month absence as training hurdle is overcome
Barcelona have been hit hard by injuries over the past 12 to 15 months, but Hansi Flick is slowly recovering the vast majority of his players. In recent weeks, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Ferran Torres have returned, while Ronald Araujo's comeback will also be visible soon.
Araujo has been out of action since July after suffering a serious hamstring tear during the Copa America against Uruguay. His recovery was long and difficult, but his return is now in sight.
According to Marca, Araujo completed his first training with his teammates on Sunday. This now puts him one step closer to his return to action, although Flick does not intend to rely on him until he is 100% fit.
Barcelona had reserved Tuesday's match against Mallorca for Araujo's return, although the first-team coaching staff has not yet set an exact date. He will be monitored further in the coming days.
