Barcelona wants to sign a new striker in the next 1 to 2 years, although that will be difficult – not only because of money problems, but also because of the competition. They recently lost their dream goal signing Erling Haaland (who has extended with Manchester City until 2034), and Benjamin Sesko could join the Norwegian in the Premier League.
According to CaughtOffside, Barcelona are among the clubs interested in Sesko, who is expected to leave RB Leipzig in the summer. However, it is reported that the Slovenian sensation would prefer a move to Arsenal at this stage, which is also bad news for the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Sesko would make an excellent replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and he should be relatively affordable now that Barcelona are back in La Liga's 1:1 rule (although money still needs to be raised). If he ends up joining Arsenal, it would certainly be a blow to the Catalans, whose search for a striker is proving difficult.
