Barcelona have been working on a deal for Jonathan Tah in recent weeks as they aim to land him from next season. Although they are strong favorites to secure his signature, it cannot be taken for granted that a deal will be reached.
With less than six months left on his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, Tah can officially start talks with other clubs. His representatives have spoken with Barcelona, who have been working hard to reach an agreement, but according to Florian Plettenburg no agreement has yet been reached.
Understandably, Barcelona are desperate to complete Tah's signing as quickly as possible, as there are plenty of other clubs interested in securing his services from next summer. The last thing they need are delays, and it will be interesting to see if the ongoing situation with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor has had an effect on the German defender.
