Barcelona target Nico Williams closer to PL move with 4 teams interested
Amid Barcelona's continued desire to sign a top-class left winger next summer, their top pick from last year, Nico Williams, is likely to be an option again. However, the competition for his signature only continues to grow.
The Blaugrana have made it clear to the media that they will only opt for Williams if he also makes them their clear priority and does not renew his contract with Athletic Club, increasing his €58 million release clause. The 22-year-old decided to stay at San Mames this summer, but with just a year left on his contract from next summer, he will have to make a decision on his future next year.
However, The Athletic says Williams is increasingly attracted to the idea of moving abroad. Barcelona will know the terms of any deal, but Williams will need to set things in motion, while from the Premier League, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea are all considering him as an option for next summer. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also following his progress – the latter made contact with his entourage last summer.
