Barcelona will be aiming for only their second win in six La Liga games on Sunday evening when they take on Leganes at the Estadi Olimpic. After a grueling win over Borussia Dortmund during the week, Hansi Flick is expected to make a number of changes.
The likes of Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Ferran Torres have chances to start, while in defense Diario AS say the option of Ronald Araujo making his first appearance of the season is getting a lot of attention from Can Barca.
The expectation was that Araujo would start against Leganes and that he would replace Pau Cubarsi in the line-up. The 17-year-old sensation hasn't had many moments of rest in recent weeks, although it looks like he'll get one this weekend.
Barcelona will be keen to take extra precautions against Araujo, who has been out since July after suffering a serious hamstring tear playing in the 2024 Copa America. However, if he is 100% ahead on Sunday, it would be a no-brainer to face him to play.
