Barcelona willing to part with €2m for 17-year-old Spanish winger in January

Barcelona have been looking for Spanish talents Antonito and Antonio Cordero since the summer, and it looks like his future could be decided soon. The Malaga teenager has shown no signs of missing out since making the jump to the second division and is catching the eye.

Malaga have attempted to extend his contract, but it appears Cordero will be looking for pastures new as his current deal expires next summer. Real Madrid and Barcelona have both shown interest in him. RadioMarca (via Sport) says that Barcelona were willing to offer €1.8 million this summer for a fixed fee that could have risen to €4 million with variables, although achieving targets has been difficult.

Now Cordero could leave in January, the Catalan daily explains, because Malaga would rather bring in some money than no money at all. Given the situation, they are willing to accept a lower offer than the one made in the summer, and Barcelona could make the move in January if Cordero joins Barca Atletic.

Los Blancos appear likely to compete for Cordero's signature, although they have yet to make a transfer offer for him. Cordero is also managed by Pini Zahavi, an agent with whom Barcelona president Joan Laporta has a strong relationship.
