‘Barely recognize her’ … Sydney Sweeney stuns fans in new look as boxer Christy Martin in upcoming biopic

Sydney Sweeney gets into the boxing ring.

The 27-year-old actress and UFC-Vechtfan Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, everyone but you) recently took on a new challenge in her acting career, and played the role of women's box spy and former WBC champion Christy Martin in the upcoming Biopic, 'Christy'.

Sbeeney surprised her fans in her first transformation to the legendary boxer, who looked almost unrecognizable with short, brown curly hair and bend her biceps in the first set photos.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had a similar reception, because the actor had facial prostheses for his role as former UFC star Mark Kerr in the film 'The Smashing Machine', which will be released in October.

'Christy' tells the incredible, resilient story of Martin, the first female boxer to be signed by iconic promoter Don King and Grace the Cover of Sports Illustrated. After her title run, Martin was stabbed and shot by her then husband and old coach Jim Martin, who left her for death in 2010.

Starting the week Sweeney shared an inside look about what the Biopic of A24 boxing is like.
