“It means a lot, because we came across Parma from a terrible disappointment, and that hurt us, so we wanted to prove ourselves,” Bastoni told Sky Italia.
“I am so proud of everyone, because Lautaro and Thuram were immediately back to defend with us when they had to, just like the midfielders.
“This is a great signal, especially for ourselves. We know that we can only do great things if we play like that.
“Perhaps there are teams that have more individual talent at their disposal, but if we work together in this way, we can cause enormous problems for everyone.”
Bastoni added: “Bayern Munich are a great team, so we will also have to suffer for the second stage next week. If we didn't think we could go completely, we wouldn't even have come to Munich.”
