Bayer Leverkusen chief makes Xabi Alonso admission over Real Madrid’s form struggles

Real Madrid -Baas Carlo Ancelotti continues to meet rumors about his future head while Xabi Alonso looms in the background.

Los Blancos' Midweek UEFA Champions League humiliating in Arsenal has re -created speculation about the place of Ancelotti in Madrid.

The experienced coach is under contract until the end of the 2025/26 season and continues to state that his future will not be determined by him.

Ancelotti does not want to break his contract, but the situation can change, depending on how the season ends.

Winning just one of La Liga or the Champions League may not be enough to hold it in place under the demanding standards of Florentino Perez.

If Ancelotti is being moved this summer, in the midst of constant rumors about him, taking into account an offer to take the lead over the national team of Brazil, Alonso is the forerunner to replace him.

Alonso's contract with Bayer Leverkusen reflects Ancelottis in Madrid with the former midfielder who also ends his link in Bayarena in 2026.

With the Bundesliga title defense of Leverkusen who keep shaking, there are renewed rumors that Alonso might be looking forward to break the ties, to prevent him from missing his chance in Madrid.

While the gossip continues in both Madrid and Leverkusen, Club -CEO Fernando Carro admitted that he had preferred Real Madrid to defeat Arsenal, to calm the sound around Alonso.

“To be honest, I would have been happier if Real Madrid Arsenal was weather -colored and the task of the manager would be secure”, according to quotes from Sky Germany, via Diario AS.

“It is normal in football that as a club like Real Madrid loses 3-0 in the quarterfinals against a team like Arsenal, who will spread rumors.

“It is normal and understandable, that is precisely why I would have liked to avoid them, with a real Madrid victory.”

Leverkusen's 0-0 weekend draw with Union Berlin means that they now follow Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich with five points with one extra game.
