Bayern Munich 3-2 St. Pauli: Sane double sends Bundesliga leaders six points clear

Leroy Sane scored twice in the second half when Bayern Munich work hard on Saturday for their 3-2 victory over St. Pauli in the Bundesliga.

Harry Kane had also scored in the first half, and although the visitors showed signs of fights, including a 93rd -minute goal, Bayern was able to restore their six -point gap at the top of the table.

Leon Goretzka brought the hosts ahead almost within two minutes and forced Nikola Vasilj in a nice stop, although they had to hold before they took a 17th minute ahead.

Kane tapped up close after meeting a Michael Olise Cross, which processed his 22nd goal of the season. He has now scored against all 19 clubs with which he is dealing with in the Bundesliga, the second best record of all time behind retired Miroslav Klose (28).

St. Pauli, who had hit the bar by Jackson Irvine for the opener of Kane, led 10 minutes later from the smart film by Elias Saad, giving Bayern a run for their money.

Bayern, who had not won their last two Bundesliga matches, recovered the lead in the 53rd minute, with Olise used another fantastic cross for Sane to drill in.

Jamal Musiala saw his 69th minute effort tipped on the crossbar, but Sane did better two minutes later and ended a quick movement after a Kane cut.

St. Pauli's Lars Ritzka unleashed an unstoppable shot in the stop time to reduce the deficiency, but the side of Alexander Blessin could not set up an unlikely late comeback.

Bayern is on 65 points, with second placed Bayer Leverkusen, winners with 3-1 above Bochum on Friday, at 59. St. Pauli is in 15th place at 25.
