Bayern Munich and Manchester City have learned the enormous reported asking price of Bayer Leverkusen for Star -midfielder Florian Wirtz.
Leverkusen has already drawn up a new contract for the German star, whose current deal will expire in 2027. The new contract is said to contain an exit clause, which will be active in the summer of 2026, but Wirtz still has to sign on the dotted line.
The ruling German champions will only have Wirtz leave this summer if they receive an offer in the region of € 120 million (£ 101 million/$ 130 million), according to Sky Sports Germany. The report also adds that Bayern Munich started the first conversations with the player's representatives, while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has identified the 21-year-old as the top goal.
Wirtz is currently put aside with a medial ligament injury in his right ankle. It is a huge blow in front of Xabi Alonso, which fell six points behind Bayern in the Bundesliga title race 2024-25. Leverkusen has also reached the semi -final of DFB Pokal, where they are dealing with Arminia on 1 April.
Before their DFB Pokal Last-Four Clash, the Leverkusen team of Alonso is facing Bochum this Saturday in a crucial competition collision, but Wirtz will still not be available.
