Bayern Munich announce signing of Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen

On Thursday morning, Bayern Munich announced the arrival of Jonathan Tah on a free transfer from Bundesliga -Rivalen Bayer Leverkusen.

After 10 years at Bayer Leverkusen, Jonathan Tah joined Bayern Munich, where he will offer defensive support.

Rumors about moving to Bavaria have been circulating for several weeks. His transfer became more tangible on Wednesday after the report of his medical and his presence at the Bayern HQ.

The defender committed himself until June 2029. In the press release of the German club he said that he was “very happy to be at FC Bayern. I want to take responsibility here and work hard every day so that we are successful as a team and win lots of trophies.”

Grown up in Hamburg, Tah also played in the Senior team before moving to Leverkusen in 2015. At Bayer he played 402 games.
