Manchester United Vooruit Marcus Rashford remains the subject of a lot of talk and little movement in the transfer window. It is known that Rashford's priority is to move to Barcelona, but how long he will wait until that happens is not yet clear.
It was announced this week by Aston Villa that they would not exercise their purchase option at Rashford, who has decided that he will not return to Villa Park next season. United is mirroring for a sale for Rashford, while Barcelona wants to bring him in, but he is not at the top of their list of priorities. If they were to move to Rashford, it seems to be almost certain a loan with an option to buy instead of selling € 40-50 million that United wants.
According to Bayern Insider, Rashford is also on the radar of Bayern Munich as an option to strengthen their left wing. Bradley Barcola, Rafael Leao, Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, the last two also focus on Barcelona, are still in the pecking order, but all four are probably closer to € 100 million in terms of a price tag. If Bayern cannot agree a deal for them, they can focus their attention on Rashford.
Rashford is currently casting as an alternative number nine for Barcelona, with Nico Williams their number one choice for the left wing role. But if a step for Williams would not perspirate, it has already been seen that Liverpool is reluctant to negotiate with Barcelona for Diaz. If neither was possible for the Blaugrana, director of Football Deco can change his attention to Rashford.
But if Bayern goes strong for Rashford, and guarantees him a greater role, it will certainly give the English international food to think. Were the German giants to draw that, Barcelona would be left without their plan B.
