Bayern open talks to extend Dier’s contract after impressive form

Bayern Munich has opened conversations about a new contract for English defender Eric Dier.

The 31-year-old former Spurs Center Back has earned praise from coach Vincent Kompany in recent weeks and he will be rewarded with an extension of his current deal that expires in the summer.

The versatility of animal will be vital if Bayern fights to continue to the Semi Finals of the Champions League and another Bundesliga title.

They are also without major defenders Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies due to new long -term injuries.

Davies has been eliminated for about six months after tearing his front cruciate ligament while she is considering international duty and Bayern legal steps against Canada Soccer.

Bayern sports director Christophe Freund confirmed that conversations are underway with the representatives of Dier, while they also negotiate new contracts for Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane who have been on Arsenal's Radar.

After putting on the white shirt of Tottenham for 10 years, Dier made the switch to Bavaria in January 2024.

The English defender has become an important player for Vincent Kompany in recent weeks, and starts all the last four Bundesliga matches of Bayern.

Since its arrival, Dier has made 38 performances in all competitions for the German giants, with 18 of those this season.
