Vincent Kompany insisted that Bayern Munich's top priority is their home game Bundesliga against Werder Bremen on Friday and is not their Champions League play-off.
Bayern, who has opened a six-point gap at the top of the competition, can release nine points from the second place Bayer Leverkusen prior to the rest of the weekend of the weekend with a victory against Bremen,
However, they also have a two-legged Champions League play-off against Celtic, because they have not obtained the automatic qualification until the last 16.
The first stage is on Wednesday in Glasgow, with the home base a week later, where they will expand their record of 34-match unbeaten run on home floor in the competition.
“In terms of structure, Werder Bremen and Celtic are different,” Kompany told a press conference. “But at the moment there are only Bremen, nothing else.
“The only game we can win tomorrow is against Bremen and not Celtic. So the priority for us is only this match against Bremen.”
Bayern is desperate to restore their domestic dominance after Leverkusen won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal Double last season, and saw a rare trophic season.
They have ruled the title race so far, although there have been decayed concentration, such as three goals in 28 minutes in the second half against Holstein Kiel admitted last week, while they ran the match 4-3 after leading 4-0.
In fact, Bayern admitted six goals in their first three games of the second half of the season, something that happened to them differently this century in 2006-07 (also six goals).
They also lost 3-0 to Feyenoord in January despite dominating the match for long periods.
“They were different matches. In one case you lead 4-0, in the other case it is tight, and every moment is important,” said Kompany.
“Every moment in the entire season must be important. Then you have this maximum success. But it's not easy. We are people.
“I would also like to say that at the moment every team in Germany has left more goals than we do. Everyone. But I don't want to use it as an excuse.
“We have admitted goals, that is the truth. It is not always easy to be perfect, but that is our goal.”
