David Beckham was hit at Minnesota United in a series of comments on social media after the crushing defeat of Inter Miami on Allianz Field on Saturday.
Beckham, who is co-owner of the Florida-based MLS side, saw his team crumbling in the upper midwest of the United States, four to the wages.
The hosts scored two in each half, both sides of the 10th goal of Lionel Messi in all competitions this season, to give Miami their most heaviest defeat since the arrival of the Argentinian legend in the club in 2023.
After the game, the social media team of Minnesota United went to Instagram to mock Beckham's club.
The account posted a photo of parties accompanied by the caption 'Pink Phony Club', a play on words on the hit number of Chappell Roan and a reference to Miami's home kit.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star did not friendly took the post and noticed: “Show a little respect @mnufc be elegant in triumph.” In response to the Jibe.
Apparently there was bad blood between the two clubs prior to this competition, where Minnesota fans showed a banner who criticized the Inter Miami project that Beckham has had a spear since 2014.
Since the club debuted in 2020, Miami has brought in superstars such as Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and of course Messi with the aim of becoming the top team of the US.
And although fans all over the world have taken knowledge of the project, Minnesota supporters were clear with how they felt about it as their Tifo 'History about hype, culture about money' – a clear jibe at Beckham and the club.
The club, based in St Paul, decided to post the banner on social media with the caption '49 years and count, which Beckham again led to break back. “Respect about everything @mnufc,” he wrote.
Miami is currently fourth in the Eastern Conference, with a competition in the hand of the teams above them, and is planned for a busy enchantment with the renewed club world cup that is approaching next month.
Beckham already had a lot to do with this spit. The sporting icon was 50 years old earlier this month and threw an extensive party, which was present as Gary Neville.
A week after the Bash, it was announced that both Beckham and Neville Leiden a new ownership group in League Two Side Salford City – with the rest of their former class of '92 stars who step away.
The former United teammates already had a 60 percent share in the Greater Manchester Club together with Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Ryan Giggs, prior to the answers.
However, that quartet has now handed their shares, while Beckham and Neville have introduced new partners and investments of £ 11-15 million because they focus on championship football within five years.
Beckham went to Instagram to share the news and wrote: 'Salford played such an important role in my life that grew up … It is where I trained with United with United every day with United, where I bought my first home and where I and Victoria lived.
'I am so proud to be part of a new property group in addition to my mate @Gneville2 when we start with the next chapter of the Salford trip.
“Football is the core of this community and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for the Ammies.”
