David Beckham told Minnesota United to “show a little respect” after an exception to a social media post after their victory over Inter Miami.
Beckham is co-owner of the MLS club and saw his stars strewn 4-1 with Minnesota being beaten to conquer a fourth defeat in five games in all matches in Miami.
Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Anthony Markanich and Robin Lod all scored for Minnesota in Saturday's victory, with Marcelo Weigandt adding his own goal.
It was the toughest loss that Miami suffered since Lionel Messi, who scored early in the second half, became a member of the club in July 2023.
After the victory, Minnesota posted a photo from the game on Instagram, including the rankings, which showed the wages that move above Miami.
The post was captions “Pink Phony Club” in reference to the Kit Color of Miami and the Chappell Roan number Pink Pony Club, which encouraged Beckham to respond in the reactions: “Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph”.
Minnesota followed it with a second message with a banner from the game, with the text: “History about hype, culture about money”, with the words “hype” and “cash” marked in pink.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and La Galaxy -midfielder responded: “Respect about everything”.
It was only a second competition -the defeat in 2025 for Miami, who were also eliminated from the Concacaf Champions Cup in the semi -finals by current supporters' Shield Leaders, the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Miami, who is confronted in MLS on Wednesday opposite the San Jose -Paves in MLS, is now sixth in the general classification, with Minnesota one point above them.
