Last Saturday in the UFC 310 co-main event, Shavkat Rakhmonov cemented himself as the number one contender in the welterweight division by taking a fight with the champion, Belal Muhammad.
The UFC 310 main event was originally scheduled to be between Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov, but after Muhammad suffered a broken toe and subsequent bone infection, the fight was canceled.
'The Nomad' remained on the card, taking on fellow undefeated contender, Ian Machado Garry, in a number one contender bout.
Rakhmonov then won the fight by unanimous decision, setting up another battle between the Kazakhs and 'Remember The Name'.

Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor troll Belal Muhammad for not being allowed in the cage
After Rakhmonov's hard-fought five-round decision, during his Octagon interview with Joe Rogan, he called for them to bring the champion into the Octagon so they could do battle.
Mohammed, who was sitting in the front row enjoying the fights, got up and tried to go to the cage to give Rakhmonov what he wanted.
However, initially the welterweight champion was blocked by security and they did not let him cross the barrier separating the fans from the cage.
This prompted a hilarious response from Rogan, who claimed that “security doesn't know he's the world champion,” causing the crowd in attendance to erupt in laughter.
Rogan wasn't the only one who found the situation hilarious, as UFC star Conor McGregor also shared his reaction to security denying him access to the cage.
“Haha! Security doesn't know he's the champion! The state of this c***. Security doesn't know he's the champion, I'm not surprised, asshole. He's an asshole. Shut up you little fool, you barely got in the ring! 'Who the hell is that guy,' security said,” McGregor said on X.
Belal Muhammad responds to Joe Rogan and Conor McGregor trolling him
After finally getting the face he and Shavkat wanted, Mohammed left the cage knowing who he will fight next in his first title defense.
A few hours removed from the situation, the 36-year-old champion responded when Rogan and McGregor trolled him.
“Yeah, I don't know, they thought I would do it, they thought I would pull a Merab (Dvalishvili), like skip and go crazy or something like that,” Muhammad told the Schmo.
“No, he called me, brother! If someone calls me into the cage, I'm going in there, right? I don't think (security) heard it, they didn't realize what was going on, they thought I was going in there to attack him, I just thought, man, relax,” Muhammad continued.
Fortunately, despite an injury that has left him considering amputating his toe, Mohammed is hopeful that his fight against undefeated Rakhmonov will take place in the first quarter of next year.
