Thibaut Courtois has emerged as an injury -doubt for the qualifications of the World Cup of Belgium because of a back injury.
Real Madrid confirmed that he has been diagnosed with sacroiliitis, which is inflammation of the joints that connect the lower spine to the pelvis, causing pain and stiffness in the lower back and hips.
The Spanish media have reported that he needs a week and treatment to restore the problem, which means that it is unlikely that he will appear against Noord -Macedonia the following Monday or against Wales.
However, it is expected that he will be available before the start of the club World Cup campaign by Madrid, which will start against Al-Hilal on 18 June.

Courtois appeared 47 performances for Madrid in all matches in 2024-25, with 15 clean sheets being held.
He also had a savings percentage of 72.1%, which saved 143 of the 197 shots on the target with which he was confronted.
Courtois returned to the Belgian setup in March after the arrival of Rudi Garcia and appeared in almost two years in their 3-1 defeat against Ukraine on March 20.
Courtois was mentioned in Garcia's team for the qualifications of the World Cup, currently announced without replacement for the 33-year-old.
