Bellingham calls Real Madrid over wage rise amid Vinicius Junior contract talks

Real Madrid was desperate to avoid too much disagreement in the dressing with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, while the Frenchman arrived to keep a low profile and reportedly earned the same money as their other top stars. Whether they can retain that balance in their wage scale is an important question that Los Blancos is confronted with.

Mbappe Eanrs currently around € 15 million per season, the same as Vinicius Junior at the top of their salary scale, says Diario ALS. Vinicius, however, is aware that Mbappe received a signing bonus of € 40 million last summer and will probably demand a wage increase if contract negotiations will start for a new deal. His contract rose in 2027 and Real Madrid called the Brazilian camp to understand his requirements.

However, Real Madrid has also received a phone call from the agents of Jude Bellingham. When he arrived, he earned similar money as Vinicius, but the rising contract of the Brazilian now earns him considerably more. Bellingham currently earns between € 8-10 million net per season, but has become one of the leaders of the team in the last 18 months, both in terms of character and in terms of his performances on the field.

His agents believe that Bellingham deserves a wage increase that brings him closer to the top of the salary scale, despite the fact that he still has 4.5 years before his deal.

Certainly in terms of performance, they have a point, but with Bellingham it probably doesn't want to leave blancos quickly, they are in a weak negotiating position. However, as soon as Vinicius signs a new deal, Bellingham will be within his rights to demand comparable, and if he receives a wage increase, then that will play in any negotiations with the Englishman. Real Madrid has control over the situation, but they don't want to irritate the 21-year-old either.
