
One of the ex-Borussia Dortmund teammates from Jude Bellingham has revealed what it is that the Englishman makes such a special player.
Bellingham, still only 21, has enjoyed a meteorical rise in recent years and is now considered one of the best midfielders in the world.
He started his career at Birmingham City before he came to Dortmund in 2020 and quickly settled as one of the best young talents in Europe.
Real Madrid came to beat three years later and assured his services in a £ 88 million deal and now former teammate of Dortmund Marco Reus has said he always knew he was intended for big things.
He said to Hayers: 'I would say this man was 17 or 18 when he came to Dortmund. I immediately saw that he had the power and strength and quality to play for this club. He always wanted to play and give his life for the club.
“I immediately saw that he had great talent and a big heart. Now you can see it in Madrid that he has enormous quality. The statistics speak for themselves, especially last year.
'He is special and the people of Dortmund loved him because he worked hard and people who really appreciated efforts.
“He showed it every game and every training. He is definitely a special guy. '
Reus was in the Signal Iduna Park for the whole time of Bellingham in Dortmund with the couple who together won one German cup.
She suffered a heartache in their last campaign while they wasted the title on the last day of the season.
An injured Bellingham did not play a part when Dortmund was held by Mainz to a 2-2 draw, so that Bayern Munich could take the title with a late winner in their game.
Bellingham played 132 games before the German side and contributed 24 goals and 24 assists.
