Ben Askren reveals his reaction to receiving support from former rivals Jake Paul and Jorge Masvidal

The Combat Sports World has sent their support to Ben Askren and his family during their time of need.

In June the news broke shocking that Askren was in a critical condition when he fought against a serious Staph infection and pneumonia.

The will of Daniel Cormier gave updates on behalf of ASKren before the former UFC hunter was awake and could talk about what he went through.

While he is still recovering from his health zipper, positive developments have regularly emerged about his status and double lung transplantation.

During this time, some huge names in the combat sports world have shown their support for Askren, including two of his former rivals.

Ben Askren was stunned by the support of Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul

Ben Askren's newest update via social media showed the stunning body transformation he went through after he was in great physical form before he fell ill.

The former UFC hunter also recently spoke about his current status through his first interview since he was admitted to the hospital.

In the past two months, some of Askren's greatest rivals in his career have publicly sent their support to the 41-year-old and his family.

Jorge Masvidal sent a sincere message, while Jake Paul consistently spoke about wanting to help askren as he can.

Speaking with TMZ, the former hunter, who stood opposite Masvidal in the Octagon and Paul in the ring, she both called that they were struggling when asked if he received more support than he did for one of his sporting performance.

“I would say it is from a wider audience. I was always a bit controversial, so there were always quite a few people who … (Askren's audio worked out). Man, I only received positive messages. Like Jorge Masvidal and Jake Paul both had a message. The support was insanely wide.”

Ben Askren says it is 'sad' that he can no longer compete after he looks forward to a return

The will of Dana White recently brought tribute to Hulk Hogan after the recent death of the WWE star.

When this was brought up during the interview, Ben Askren thought about how he had to compete for Hogan's Freestyle wrestling promotion that some of the biggest names in the sport has signed.

Unfortunately, Askren admitted that this is no longer a possibility for him, although he has been incredibly grateful that he has spent more time with his family in recent weeks.

“Yes, real American freestyle. I also started to struggle and I was so enthusiastic about that. But I will never struggle again. It is a bit sad.”
