Benjamin Sesko from Manchester United to RB Leipzig has led to speculation that Rasmus Hojlund could move in the opposite direction, although the DANE has said he has been determined to remain open
The interest of Manchester United in striker Benjamin Sesko has led to speculation of a swap deal with Rasmus Hojlund. RB Leipzig -star Sesko came to the fore this summer as the top goal of Ruben Amorim for Ollie Watkins.
Sesko has long been admired by the Red Devils and pulls their eye before his move to Red Bull Salzburg. Now, after he had set the Bundesliga with Leipzig at the age of 22, the club is said to be in for him again.
There are supposedly discussions and a fee in the £ 70 million region has been fueled as the price tag of the Slovenian superstar. United spent great on a no. 9 when they signed the Danish Ace Hojlund from Atalanta in 2023, and it is now suggested that the 22-year-old could be included in a potential SWAP deal at a dramatically reduced price.
The athletic report that Leipzig is one of the various parties that are interested in recording the Buiten-Sorts Hojlund, and the prospect of a form of SWAP deal, including Sesko, has been increased, although it seems unlikely at this stage.
Although the 22-year-old De Red Devils cost £ 72 million, they should figure out a sum of money in addition to their player to secure Sesko's services in a potential SWAP deal.
The report states that United internally acknowledges that Hojlund's market value would not be near what they have paid for him and is currently slightly less than £ 45 million. This is a drop of £ 27 million in just two years since his relocation of big money to Old Trafford.
In the light of the fact that Sesko is the top of the best striker of United and the competition of minutes that may have become scarce, Hojlund was questioned about his future future of the Old Trafford and Bullish responded.
The DANE claimed that he wants to stay in Manchester and struggles with a potential recruit for Gametime, making a Swap -deal unlikely, unless United wants to cash in on a star whose value has plummeted.
“I think the most important thing for me is to keep working hard and stay focused and then we will of course see what is happening,” Hojlund said.
“I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to keep fighting for my place, whatever happens. I am still very young. I think people sometimes forget. I am only 22.
“It is clear that not every striker at the age of 22 scores 100 goals (like Erling Haaland). But I have learned a lot, I think you can see in my game.
“I am starting to develop and get even better in the base. Now it is almost for me to sharpen myself and I have done it very well in the pre-season so far. I am simply focused on continuing that.
“The competition is fine for me. It sharpened me. I am more than ready. I feel sharp, so I welcome everything that comes. I think it is good with the competition and it just sharpenes the team.”
United is supposed to be Sesko's priority over Newcastle, but a deal is far from a foregone conclusion. Leipzig wants a reimbursement of approximately £ 65 million, plus add-ons and a sales percentage for the Slovenian star.
Amorim will probably have to sell before United can make an offer to seduce the Bundesliga side. Hojlund was not told that he is for sale and United could raise money for Sesko through the sale of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, all of whom are linked to movements for important reimbursements.
