Benjamin Šeško’s agent explains why he was always destined for United

The agent of Benjamin Šeško explained why the switch from the striker to Manchester United was inevitable, despite earlier ties with Arsenal this summer.

Manchester United has finally secured their new first-choice striker when Benjamin Šeško signed a five-year contract with Old Trafford.

The side of Rúben Amorim agreed with a transfer costs of £ 66.3 million that could rise to around £ 74 million with add-ons, securing the player who are scouts around the world, are very coveted.

Šeško is the fourth signing of the summer of United of the Summer and joins Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo, all of whom become a member of Amorim's ranks while rebuilt the side again.

United is still looking for a new midfielder and a possible keeper, but signing a new striker offers a huge boost for the coming campaign.

United has always been the dream of Šeško

Earlier this summer it seemed likely that Šeško would join Arsenal, with former sporty CP striker Viktor Gyökkeres on the way to Old Trafford; However, the two movements are extended in the opposite way.

The agent of the 22-year-old, Elvis Basanovi, had, however, conducted a new interview in the aftermath of the relocation of Šeško, and explained that although it is difficult to say why his move to Arsenal never came out, the primary wish of the striker was always to draw for United.

“It's hard to say exactly,” Basanovi said in a recent talk show. “If a deal does not go through, there are always several other factors. Ultimately, everything has to coordinate to make it happen.

“What is important here is that Benjamin's wish has always been Manchester United for years, and for United he was even willing to take a wage reduction to make the step happen. If his agent wanted to make that wish come true.”

The relocation of Šeško has been in the making for years

Although United's interest in Šeško appeared relatively late in the window, once it became clear that Gyökkeres and Liam Delap were out of reach, the move seems to have been in the making for more than seven years.

According to Basanovi, he and his client first visited the Academy of United in 2018, when Šeško was 15, and the vision since that day is Šeško developed elsewhere and then became a member of United when he was ready for the Premier League.

“We visited the Academy of Manchester United in 2018, when Benjamin was only 15,” the agent continued. Even then we were planning this step for the future.

“At the time we didn't want him to go so young, [but] We remained in contact in recent years.

“But we told them our plan – two years in the Bundesliga to prepare for the future in the Premier League. We are delighted that the plan worked.”
