Benzema late show sees Al-Ittihad claim dramatic win

Al-ittihad achieved a dramatic 2-1 victory over Al-Taawoun thanks to the stopping-time goal from Karim Benzema.

Benzema wiped at home in the 95th minute on the back of a Mazy -Run van Houssem Aouar, who supplied a neat beam ball in the area.

The 14th Saudi Pro League goal of the season of the season broke the determination of Al-Taawoun after they had restored the parity through Musa Barrow deep into the first half.

Abdulrahman Al Obud had opened the score in the 21st minute before Al-Eittihad, whose victory saw them relocate three points of Al-Hilal on the Pro League summit.

Al-Hilal gets the chance to go back on points on points with Al-Eittihad when they are confronted opposite Damac on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Pierre-emerick Aubameyang played a leading role when Al-Qadsiah Al-Raed defeated 2-0.

Aubameyang put Al-Qadsiah ahead of the rest of the rest before he arranged Julian Quinones on the 96th minute.

The third place Al-Qadsiah are now three points free from Cristiano Ronaldos Al-Nassr, who faces Al-Feiha on Friday.

In the other Pro League match on Thursday, Al-Shabab Al-Khaleeej hammered 5-1.
