Chelsea corresponded to a deal for this sporty CP star in March, and Manchester City Bernardo Silva has the feeling that they have packed a wonderful talent
Bernardo Silva van Manchester City fears that the 17-year-old Geoveny Quenda, who will come from Sporting CP at Chelsea in 2026, could steal his Portugal place. Last month it was announced that the Teenage Quenda will leave the Portuguese capital in 2026 and will go to Stamford Bridge in a deal that could rise to more than £ 40 million.
The prodigy, who put Pen on paper on a seven -year contract, is previously connected to Manchester United and former boss Ruben Amorim, but made the decision in March that London would be his next destination. Quenda is a very thoughtful talent as the comments of not only his former coaches, but Landman Silva, can be believed, as the 30-year-old admitted that it could be the teenage sensation that replaces him at a day at an international level.
When asked for the eye -water talent of the Portugal U21 star, Silva quickly admitted that his senior place could be in danger one day and said: “He will probably steal my place. At the age of 17 I didn't even play for Benfica's youth team.”
Silva, however, has not been the only one who praised the young, emerging Quenda prior to his move to Enzo Maresca's Blues next year.
His former manager, Amorim – now the leadership of the faltering Red Devils, who reportedly showed an interest in signing Quenda before his Chelsea move agreed – shared insight into what makes him such a special talent.
“Very talented child.” Amorim started when he was a manager. “[He’s] Very physically robust, very focused, with his feet firmly on the floor. That is very important for a young player.
“He got his chance and there was no chance to take it away, no doubt nothing. I think he will be a great player, but let's give it time.”
Another one who once worked with Quenda in the midst of Sports Academy Ranks, coach Fabio Roque, has also been free for the future Blue.
The former U15 boss compared Quenda's talent with one of the best young stars of the Premier League – Arsenal's Bukayo Saka – while placing him on a similar pedestal as Barcelona -Fenomine Lamine Yamal.
“Geo is so demanding with himself at the defensive moments,” said the former sports coach of Sporting Academy Roque Sky Sports when he was asked about the 17-year-old.
“To close, to recover quickly, to win the defensive duels for his teammates. It reminds me of Bukayo Saka at the start of his career when he played as a full-back.
“There is only one geovany quenda [though]. He is different from any other player I have trained. He can create a stamp on football that is completely different.
“We're talking about, with Lamine Yamal and Estevao Willian [who will join Chelsea this summer]Probably the best players born in that generation in 2007. “
