Besiktas has a movement for Kyle Walker-Peters dramatically called off.
The defender, who is a free agent after his departure from Southampton this summer, was ready to become a member of the Turkish club, who are managed by ex-manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Walker-Peters were invited to Istanbul to undergo a medical, but asked to slow down the move, making Besiktas angry.
A statement from Besiktas was: 'It is publicly known that the arrival of professional football player Kyle Walkers, with whom we have previously announced an agreement in principle and invited him for a medical examination, has been postponed.
'Today Kyle Walker-Peters informed us and for an extension to the request.
'Consequently, our club has withdrawn its transfer.
'Our club continues its transfer efforts in accordance with the established policy. We respectfully inform the public. '
Walker-Peters is then linked to a move to West Ham, who want to bring in a replacement for Vladimir Coufal.
If he made the switch to West Ham, Walker-Peters would offer an alternative option for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
After he had started his career at Tottenham, Walker-Peters initially started loan at Southampton in January 2020 before he made the move permanent later that year.
During his time in Southampton he appeared 202 performances.
He was twice off by England at Senior level in 2022.
Solskjaer was appointed in January as Besiktas -Baas – so far he has won 12, four signed and has lost six of his 22 games.
Earlier this month, Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham signed on loan from Roma.
They also brought in Joao Mario, who had a loan spell at West Ham in 2018.
