‘Biggest favorite’ of all time lives up to hype with ‘beautiful’ submission win at UFC 317

History was written on the UFC 317 Undercard.

The International Fight Week this year is going from Las Vegas, Nevada, with two titles on the line. In the main event, the unbeaten Ilia Topuria goes for a second title in lightweight against former champion Charles Oliveira.

The Co-Headliner has a flying weight fight between champion Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Kara-France.

Jacobe Smith avoids the biggest upset of all time with victory over Niko Price

It is not every day that you see a -2500 favorite in action.

UFC veteran Niko Price was a considerable underdog against Jacobe Smith, an unbeaten Finisher who had won his UFC debut earlier this year.

Smith started a great start at the price by landing an early branchedown and setting his dominance on the ground.

Smith attracted the first blood in the opening round and almost final price with his strikes.

Price survived to see round 2, but the favorite fan would not stay much longer in the fight while Smith continued to swarm him on the floor.

In a clambering, Smith took a breakdown from Price's back and tapped him with a textbook after Choke. UFC commentator Daniel Cormier mentioned the entry 'Beautiful' on the broadcast.

Niko -Price can be on its way to UFC release

UFC 317 was the 19th walk from Price to the Octagon and possibly his last.

Smith presented prize back-to-back defeats, with a price that lost to Themba Gorimbo last October.

The 35-year-old prize is 2-6 (1 AD) in its last nine fights and fought as former champion Robbie Lawler, Vicente Luque and Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone.

Although it is one of the most exciting hunters in the Welterweight division, with four performance bonuses to his name, it is uncertain whether the UFC will keep the price after a heavy stint.
