Billionaire NFL owner wants to buy Crystal Palace in mega-money takeover but controversial John Textor would stay put

American John Textor insists on control at Crystal Palace – and looking for new allies.

Textor, 59, had taken a backward step on the Eagles.

He thought of selling his shares and buying another outfit.

The owner of the Multi-Club now wants to increase his say in Selhurst Park and can look at a countryman for help.

Woody Johnson, owner of NFL Side the New York Jets, is previously interested in a Prembuy and was connected to Chelsea.

Johnson, 77, could come in with Textor if they could close a deal with two other Americans, Josh Harris and David Blitzer, for their interest.

Harris and Blitzer have also been associated with other clubs during their time in Palace and they can be convinced to sell.

Chairman Steve Parish is waiting for developments.

For all the success of Palace on the field, their photo behind the scenes is still messy.

But they are already making plans for a sensational summer transfer.

Sunsport can exclusively reveal that Palace sets a deal for Marcus Rashford if Aston Villa does not permanently sign him.

The English star has been on loan since January to become a member of Manchester United in the midlands.

Rashford has five goals and three assists in 22 trips under Unai Emery.

And Villa has the option to buy it for £ 40 million this summer.

But if they decide against a movement, Palace are ready to come in with an offer.

A source told us: “Palace keeps a close eye on Rashford and what happens to Villa and United.

“There is currently a good buzz around the club and someone like Marcus is exactly the kind of player they would like to attract.

“They know that they should stay on their better players to convince Marcus to move to South Londs.”
