A former Chelsea star was attacked by a club mascot in a bizarre incident that took place last Saturday.
The player concerned appeared from 2016 to 2022 48 performances for the blues in a six -year stay in Stamford Bridge.
Michy Batshuayi may not have made much impression during his time in West -London, but he was on Saturday the center for the current club Eintracht Frankfurt after he was involved in a fight with the team's mascot.
The Golden Eagle, called Attila and known as The King of the Skies, has been regularly in the matches since the 2006-07 season.
After Frankfurt's 1-0 victory against Stuttgart in which Batshuayi was an unused replacement, he approached Attila on the field while the bird of prey was paraded by his handler.
But the striker came too close Attila, who then hit Batshuay in the face with his wing, only for the bird's handler to respond by laughing.
On social media in response to the incident, a fan joked: “Bird tests his reflexes alone.”
A second added: “Now he is blessed by Atilla.”
Another user joked: “The eagle revened for him for what he did with Besiktas.”
Starting with his career at Standard Liège, a successful Stint for Ligue 1 -side Marseille saw him moving to Chelsea in 2016 for a fee of £ 33.2 million.
However, he struggled for regular minutes in the capital, but managed to score 25 goals in 77 performances.
He was then lent to Borussia Dortmund and Valencia before returning to the Premier League via two separate loan spells with Crystal Palace.
He then moved to Fenerbahce in 2022 for a spell with their fierce Rivals Galatasaray earlier this campaign before he returned to the Bundesliga in January.
He scored two goals in five league games for his current club, who are third in the table and are well placed for Champions League qualification as things.
