NCAA Wrestling Legend Nickal was brutally eliminated by Reinier de Ridder in the Co-Main event of UFC des Moines on Saturday evening to lose his undefeated record. This has led to widespread criticism from fans who think he was too brash during his early run without earning a top spot.
A moment that this seems to symbolize is a claim he made while speaking with Ariel Helwani that he would be a monstrous favorite in a final collision with Chimaev. He believed that by the time they meet, his record will be so impressive that the Swede will fade in comparison.
