Chelsea chef Todd Boehly was apparently told that he had to get off his phone and play football in an uncomfortable exchange with his wife who has become viral on social media.
Boehly, 51, was caught on his phone by the Sky Sports cameras during Chelsea's aimless draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The wife of the American businessman, Katie, did her best to push him and make him aware of the fact that he was sent live to the nation, while he didn't even look at the game.
And while her efforts Boehly made his attention on the Stamford Bridge -Pitch, the damage was already caused in terms of the opinions of fans about this.
Blues supporters went to social media to involve the apparent disinterest of their billionaire boss in their Premier League opener.
They smoked: “He is not so interested in the football club, except it as an active one.”
While another added: “Bro is not even interested in looking at his own team.”
In reference to Boehly's wife Katie, a third teased: “Team player. Good consciousness about the blindside.”
And a fourth joke: “Like at school when the teacher clocks on your phone.
In honesty for Boehly there was not much excitement on the field.
Chelsea looked faint because they were unable to win a home win in their first Premier League match of the season.
And they could not have left any points, if not for the unauthorized free kick from Ebereechi Eze.
The Palace star hit a free-stage in the first half, but saw it excluded for a little-known rule.
Eagles -defender Marc Guehi was expected to be less than a meter distance from the Chelsea wall when he influenced the game.
The referee announced the reason after the decision and said: “After assessment, number six is less than a meter away from the wall while the shot is made.
“That is why it is an indirect free kick and a non -compound goal.”
