Sonia Bompastor was happy with Chelsea's efficiency when they defeated West Ham 2-0 to reach a sixth consecutive Women's League Cup final and a first for the manager.
The blues have to lose a competition in all competitions this season, which extends their undefeated line to 22 games while they set up a trip to Pride Park next month.
West Ham was canceled with two goals in nine first half minutes by Johanna Rytting Kanyd and Sjoeke Nusken.
Rytting Kanyd opened the score after 20 minutes at Kingsmeadow and squeezed the ball along Kinga Szemik and in the nearby pole from a tight corner on the right side of the box.
Eva Nystrom then lost the possession just outside of her own box, with Nusken that hit the loose ball before he finished Szemik to break it down in the empty net.
The blues saw the victory comfortably in the second half, dominated the property and limiting West Ham, who never reached the final of the League Cup, to some clear opportunities.
“I am really happy with the victory, and now we are on our way to the final,” said Bompastor. “It is always important in the semi -final to win, and it is never easy.
“West Ham came with a different mindset than the last game [a 5-0 Chelsea win in the Women’s Super League in January]. We played at home tonight and we had a good first half in terms of implementation.
“We led 2-0 during the break and I think it was good enough. We created some opportunities. We were clinical. That's good if you can be efficient in the box.
“If you are unable to be efficient or clinical, the opponents have hope and then it's a different game. To play against a block that is compact and low – they start with a back five, but we were we were Able to score – it makes a big difference. “

Chelsea has been shown in every League Cup final since 2019-20, but has lost each of the last three in which they played, with a first trophy for Bompastor on the line this time.
They will be confronted with either Arsenal, which they have defeated in the competition or Manchester City in the last two finals, with the two parties that will give off on Thursday.
Chelsea still has the chance to win the four -fold this season. They have a seven-point advantage at the top of the super league of the ladies, while they were progressing through their Champions League group with a 100%record.
The blues will be confronted on Sunday Everton in the FA Cup round of the FA Cup of the ladies, while trying to keep fighting on all four fronts, but Bompastor insists that she does not think of trophies in this phase of the season, Although she just reached a final.
“I never think so [of winning the quadruple]”She added.” I am more focused on the next game on Sunday. It is another cup game, but we are very happy to reach this final, but if you don't win, this means nothing.
“For me, the focus is now ensuring that we go deep into every competition. We go Game by Game and have a focus on the next game, and how we can ensure that we have great opportunities to win.”
