Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham: Dean Huijsen becomes Cherries’ youngest Premier League goalscorer as Spurs slump to defeat

Bournemouth surpassed an increasingly out-of-control Tottenham in the Premier League after Dean Huijsen's header secured a deserved 1-0 win at the Vitality Stadium.

At 19 years and 235 days, Huijsen became the youngest ever Premier League goalscorer for the Cherries when he met Marcus Tavernier's corner after 17 minutes.

Ryan Christie hit the frame of the goal, while Evanilson was ruled out by VAR for offside in what could easily have been a heavier defeat for Spurs, who dropped to 10th in the standings after a sixth defeat of the season.

The results mean Ange Postecoglou has achieved one win in six games, less than a fortnight since witnessing his side's 4-0 victory over champions Manchester City.

Spurs have now lost nine of their last 13 away games in the Premier League, but such inconsistency is not something Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has to worry about at the moment, with his side rising to ninth on 21 points.
