Bournemouth is in advanced conversations with Lille about a deal for Bafode Diakite.
The 24-year-old defender has been on the radar of Bournemouth for the past two years and is again in Focus because they want to strengthen in the middle of the back.
Diakite was the subject of Sunderland earlier this summer and about £ 30 million is appreciated.
He rose due to the youth of Toulouse before he made his debut for the club at the age of 17.
For four seasons with the first team of Toulouse, Diakite made 82 performances in all competitions and scored seven goals. He also spent time with Toulouse B and added three goals in 10 performances.
In August 2022, Diakite moved to Lille and signed a four -year contract. Since then he has made 110 performances.
Diakite has represented France at several youth levels – less than 16, U18, U19 and U21 – and was included in their team for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Elsewhere, Chelsea Defender Axel Disasi and the Koni De Winter of Genoa also consider the names that are considered by Bournemouth while preparing for selling Illya Zabarnyi to Paris Saint-Germain.
Zabarnyi came to Bournemouth from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2023 and has since made 86 performances.
After deserving 49 senior caps for Ukraine, the Center Back was twice called the golden talent of Ukraine in 2020 and 2021.
