Bournemouth’s Evanilson has Man Utd red card overturned

Bournemouth will have Evanilson available for their Premier League collision with Arsenal after successfully called against his red card in their 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Evanilson initially received a yellow card from referee Peter Bankes after a tackle on Noussair Mazraoui, where the Brazilian seemed to slide when the defender is closed.

But after banks were sent to the monitor for a review on the field, the yellow was upgraded to a red card, so that the side of Andoni Iraola was left for the last 20 minutes to 10 men.

Rasmus Hojlund yielded an injury time Leveler to seal a part of the loot at the Vitality Stadium, so that Bournemouth dented the hope of sealing European football next year.

“An independent regulatory committee has removed Evanilson's three-match ban after a successful claim of unlawful dismissal,” read a statement from the football club.

The Cherries are 10th in the Premier League table with four more games of their season, an point behind the eighth placed Fulham in the race for Europe.

A top eight finish would secure a place in the European Conference League of next season if Crystal Palace Manchester City does not beat in the FA Cup final.

But Bournemouth will have new hope to end their season at a peak now that they have Evanilson available for the rest of the campaign.

The 25-year-old has been involved in six goals in his last nine league Start for Bournemouth (five goals, one assist).
