The Boyhood Club of Portuguese football players Diogo Jota and Andre Silva have dedicated their kit for this season to the brothers who died in Spain on 3 July in a car accident.
Fourth Tier Gondomar SC has imposed photos of Liverpool and Portugal striker Jota and his brother Silva, who played Panafiel for the Portuguese team on the front of their shirts.
The top of the back of the shirts carries the names of the two players under an infinite symbol.
“More than a sweater, a tribute forever,” said Gondomar SC, who plays in the Campeonato de Portugal, in a post on social media. “Because football is more than victories and goals, it is estate, it's family, it's love for our country.
“Our New Jersey brings the great picture of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, two sons of Gondomar who left us too quickly, but who will live in the history of our club and our football forever.
“Every time our athletes put on this sweater, it's like you get on the field with them.”
Laverpool announced last month that their players will wear this Premier League season a “20” emblem on their shirts and stadium jackets forever.
After consultation with the Jota family, his number 20 shirt will be retired at all levels of the Anfield club, including the ladies and academic teams.
Jota and Silva grew up in Gondomar, a city on the outskirts of Porto.
